Re: starting up 8i on Win2000 Problems

Yes , It occurs to me too.
To overcome this error.Sometimes I need to create my database with REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORD _FILE=NONE.
Then after creating the DB , change it to exclusive. If the problem does not go away , create a new password file with ORAPWD Then it will be ok.
