Sure they're intertwined, that doesn't mean I criticize all of it. I don't blame Gates for (apparently) wanting to control the world or monopolize large portions of it. I believe that's fairly common among CEO's. I criticize his endorsement of a policy - upgrades out the wazoo - that has led to annoyance for me. The result being my transformation from customer and supporter to reluctant user if someone else buys and critic.
The short version - lots of people want to be really rich and rule the world, the annoying ones have more hecklers.
