For all of us using Oracle on Sun...

"Solaris 8 recognized as the most powerful UNIX operating system"

"Those running Solaris 8 will be happy to learn that their OS offers more
capabilities than any other Unix based operating system available today. At least that's what the analysts at D.H. Brown Associates believe. In their annual review of the leading Unix Oses, the firm found that Solaris has the most in terms RAS and security and directory services. They also concluded that Solaris is no slouch when it comes to supporting Web applications."
