Hi

    If you have constraints enabled (primary, unique and referential), then CTAS approach needs reenabling them in the new table. This will take longer. But alter table does not need to disable or enable the constraints and hence alter table move would be more preferable..

HI:

Can anyone the pros and cons of using the CTAS approach to reorganizing a table as compared to the alter table move command

Oracle 8.1.5 tables size roughly 8gb
