Services is still there, but it is now under Administrative Tools, under your programs menu. If you cannot see Admin Tools, then RMB (Right Mouse Button) on your start bar, and choose properties. Hit the advanced tab, and in the bottom section of the screen (Start menu options) there should be a tick box for show administrative tools.

There a a load more options for services as well now, things like if this service fails, I want to fire this program off etc.. I also tend to use the Computer Management option more now also, as this gives access to most of the things you need - Services, user management, defrag etc..

I've installed V8.1.7 on W2K on my home PC. It appears that "by default" Apache got installed and starts automagically when the system boots.

I don't want Apache to start, but can't find how to prevent it from starting upon boot up.

So, how do I switch Apache off. Under NT V4 there was a "Services" option under the Control Panel. I can't seem to find any similar option in Windows 2000.

Any directions or suggestions would be appreciated.
