But if we have active information in the rollback segment when the data= base
crashed, Oracle will need those information to recover the database.

I thought Oracle use the rollback segments to rollback the transaction which had not yet commited after the roll forward phrase. If you never = back
up the RBS. You basically lose all of those information.

I really don't understand why they suggest to skip the RBS backup.

   I will agree that both TEMP and INDEX are "easy" to rebuild.    You sure that they don't require you to backup RBS? It is not easy t= o

   rebuild it at all! :D
