We treat concurrent users as individual people. If one person has 5 sessions open, for what ever reason, we count it as one concurrent user.

To be classified as concurrent user, is it just having an entry in v$session or is that they have to be an active session in v$session?

I am trying to track the number of concurrent users on our database for a given period of time. We are an HP-UX shop running on 7.3.4.5.0.
