RE: Install oracle8.1.6 on Red hat linux 7

Are you building it by hand or through dbassist? My recommendation is to try it manually if you haven't already. I don't trust dbassist as far as I could throw it. 8)  

I have 8.1.5, upgraded to RH7 and it still works. However, I've not thoroughly tested it. It came up, I selected from it and then put it down. I just haven't had time to try 8.1.6 yet.

Hi All  

Does Oracle 8.1.6 work with Red hat linux 7. It gets installed properly. But while creating a database it gives an error : end of file communication channel.
Anyone having any idea what the problem is ? Thanks
