Install oracle8.1.6 on Red hat linux 7

Hi All

Does Oracle 8.1.6 work with Red hat linux 7. It gets installed properly. = But while creating a database it gives an error : end of file = communication channel.
Anyone having any idea what the problem is ? Thanks
