RE: Database design tool

Opinions only:

ER/Studio - very good tool, if somewhat buggy sometimes and does not yet support "instead-of" triggers on views. One great feature is the ability to export schema diagrams to image files. This is what I use daily now, and I'm quite happy.

ERwin - formerly my absolute favorite (when it was Logicworks and then Platinum), it is now languishing at the hands of CA. I couldn't even get a working demo version for 8i, even after signing scary contracts. While I love the tool, I'd avoid it. (caveat - I'm an ex-CA acquired employee)

Designer 2000 - a great tool, but serious overkill for ER modelling. I recommend Designer for anyone who is serious about generating a large percentage of their entire system.

HTH,
Diana

At the moment i am using ODD (Oracle Database Designer) to design my Oracle databases.

Which you find the best choice: ER/Studio (Embarcadero), ERwin (CA) or Designer 2000 (Oracle).

TIA
