I recently peformed an 8.0.5 to 8.1.6 upgrade of a 20G DB on AIX SP2, which
took almost 1 hour. Does anybody have a feel for how long it would take to
upgrade a 500G DB? Is it a linear process? Also, is it possible to restart
an upgrade, or if it fails midstream, you must restore a backup and start
again? Can some share their upgrade time experiences with me?
