Hello all

I've just been asked to look into whether or not our current Oracle/Unix configuration will be able to handle
an increased number of users, what might be potential bottlenecks/problems in the application.

Some of the questions i think are important are:

  1. What is the current transaction rate?
  2. What is the forecasted transaction rate?
  3. What is forecasted number of end users?
  4. Is there going to be any new functionality added to the application?

I'm thinking of looking into the following 3 areas to identify what is the current utilisation of:

  1. Memory
  2. CPU
  3. Disk

Have i missed anything out??
What approach would you take??

Regards

Zabair Ahmed
