you're kiddin right , 8 months ?

The positions are out therefor the NY area, the company that I work for hired a DBA and 3 developers alone in the last 6 months and we're in White Plains NY,
only 16 miles from downtown Manhattan
I think that you just have to find the right recruiters. The ones you have aren't doing you a good service
if they can't find you anything in 8 months.

mail me off-list and i'll give you the name / details of the recruiters that got me this job

Brian

Subject: Re: SALARY OF AN ORACLE DBA IN THE US

Hey,
Hold on. DBA gets paid $70-75K in NYC! You gotta be joking. No development and no job openings at this time in the New York area. I am looking for DBA or Oracle programmer position almost 8 months in the row. Just phone talks with recruiting agents and no real technical interviews. No job offers. No success. Anybody can help?
