RE: SALARY OF AN ORACLE DBA IN THE US

To put those salaries in perspective. How much does a 2000sqft home cost in Mass? In Oklahoma City they are about $100-130K. DBA salaries are anywhere from $45k-$80k.

I agree, up here in Massachusetts things are quite a bit different:

A friend of mine with just over 2 years of DBA under his belt, but 10 years of IT experience is making around 130K. Another buddy of mine is consulting and getting 110/hr, he's billed out at between 150-175. He's got 3 yrs of DBA.

In a nutshell, in the MA market, DBA's are getting 75 - 125K depending on experience. Hell, even programmers with a couple of years of Forms experience are getting 60 - 70K.
