"At the end of the day, though, it's
someone else's job on the line."

Not really, do you think someone making this bad of a decision   would step up and take responsibility for it?

Lisa,

	I would:
	1) Tell them that if they hose it up don't call you.
	2) Load the good paper in the printer.
	3) Print and send resume.

Didn't you also send out the real life Dilbert mail a little while ago, I could be mistaken.

It's the job of a DBA to list all the bad things that could happen in this case and give advice about the rationality of such a request. And recover from any stupidity visted on the database by such an action. In this case, you're an advisor and the advisee doesn't have to follow your sage cautionary tale.

I can see/feel/hear your frustration. At the end of the day, though, it's someone else's job on the line.
/Bill
