Your employer sounds like a complete moron. If I was you, I would start = looking for another job. One of these days (maybe now), the database is = going to be hosed and YOU will get the blame for it happening.

DATABASE? I am being overridden. I am being told to allow it, it's their database = and

What? It's just a reporting tool, but STILL! I am concerned about it starting
runaway queries and eating up resources reserved for CUSTOMERS.
