Hi all,

I recently discovered that you can't create a data segment with initial or next extent bigger than 2gb. I also found a note on metalink for this. But then I seem to recall people who claimed to be able to create initial extent of the size 3gb. I would like to know if this is true, and what combination of OS and RDBMS platform are they using? I am using 8.1.6.0.0(32bit) on Solaris7 sparc(32bit). But according to the Oracle note this is a generic problem, so it should be the same for any platform. Hmmm... Just wondering.
