I think if you posted the key init.ora parameters from the problem
installation here you would probably get a lot of good feedback.
The book Oracle Performance Tuning Tips & Techniques (http://www.bookpool.com/.x/k9wrskqsu1/ss/1?qs=0078824346) has some very good material, including just the kind of lists with sample values you are looking for.
