Paper advising on init.ora parameters

Can anyone point me to a paper that might recommend some values for the init.ora to layout a semi decent SGA?

I've inherited a part time account who are questioning the performance of an NT setup that to my mind seems to be incredibly poor setup. I'm thinking about what changes I can advise for them. When I came to the conclusion that while I can through in a few figues off the top of my head, they would only be guesses based on the figures listed listed in the sample init.ora.

Can't seem to find much on MetaLink - so if anyone would be so kind as to make some suggestions for a direction that would be appreciated.

Darrin.
