Mary,

Dynamic sql can be emulated within PL/SQL procedures using the dbms_sql  package. This
package should be documented in the dbmssql.sql file under the ORA_RDBMS logical  for a VMS
installation, or under the ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin directory on most other  installations.
