Hello,

Does anybody use Oracle 9i for OpenVMS? Do you have to change the logical
name:

  "SYS$TIMEZONE_DIFFERENTIAL" = "3600"

twice a year, when the clocks go back or forwards?

We have found that Oracle does not seem to see the ordinary operating system
time but rather is adding this value to real time (winter time) so we have
to put it in place in Spring and set it to zero in Autumn/Fall.

Surely there is a better way?

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give.

Andoni.
