I am working to reduce the amount of data we backup on our system computers. We perform weekly cold backups and hot backups on daily bases and we have a number of databases to backup. Here is a questions: a.. Is there a way to check anything on the system that shows if any updates happen on the database within the last X amount of time? If yes, could you please explain? Here an example: A database XYZ is backed (cold) up on Sunday night. On Monday schedule, a job runs prior to hot backup that checks arc and redo logs for any information that will indicate that there were a database change.
