Ideally, the application should be able to handle a wide variety of image data (which would be stored as BLOB's within the database) and be able to display image thumbnails of the stored files as well as associated alphanumeric fields. There seems to be plenty of stand-alone image databases which do this using their own proprietary database systems, but nothing designed to interface with Oracle databases.
