Yep. I've used it in situations where I just wanted the free space to
be coalesced NOW, not when SMON is ready. Can't remember exactly
remember the delay involved if you waited for SMON. This command is
works for 7.1.3. I hear that in 7.2, there's a similar command. Again,
can't remember what it is. Well, I'm only on 7.1.3 for VMS!
