Hi netters,

i found an all porpose file that fits all my needs.
It is on every computer so you don't have to buy, borrow it etc.
I can write any amount of data to it, it expands automatically.
I can make a backup of it on a single floppy disc.
I never had a read error.

try: create tablespace universal datafile '/dev/null' autoextend on
maxsize unlimited;

We have 20GB of disc which i sold shortly after i found this solution.
I believe, if this trick goes round the world the disc manufactors will
be in real trouble.
