Reports 2.5, due out by Q1 of CY95, contains a Windows batch engine that
stays active on your desktop, and queue up reports fired at it by Forms
in an instant, and continues to work unobtrusively in the background on
processing the queued up reports (much the same as Print Manager). Forms
4.0.13, Reports 2.0.14 may improve this Forms -> Reports time a little,
but it's the upcoming batch engine that makes the night and day
difference. Of course, Oracle Graphics already has the batch engine
concept on Windows, so issuing updates of multiple charts in your forms
is quite a bit faster even today than lots of report launching. This
continues to be the case for Graphics 2.5.

Hope this helps.
