I know Designer 6i only runs against 8.1.6 Enterprise Edition, so you'd better check the certification matrix for iAS. Also remember that iAS is intended to sit on the middle tier - there may be some hardware architecture issues for you if you're not already running a three tier setup. You can get a free trial edition of iAS from Oracle and there is some documentation on the CDs. It's probably also on the web although well buried. Check out white papers, technical bulletins aswell as documentation and post a query to Metalink. Also search Metalink for previous queries. We are using WAS 3.0 that is full of bugs, but we do not want to worsen the situation. Another question: since the complete product name is "Oracle Internet Application Server 8i" I wish to know if it works only with Oracle 8i or if we can keep the database and the PL/SQL stored procedure in our 7.3.4 version for now.
