First, I apologize for the dumb question. We are not Oracle Gurus,
but are given a dataset we need to examine before passing along. In
the past they gave us exp files and we figured out a way to get into
them by adding all the usernames it asked for and then using the imp
command to bring the db live. This time a different company gave us
there files, but they gave them to us in .bkp format. There is are
three folders(autobackup, backupset, onlinelog). Under the first two
there are subfolders with a date and inside a file with .bkp. The
thrird are 2 .log files. I get from researching that I need to use
the rman commands, but I don't know db names, dbid etc from the
original. Any links to how I should proceed? Thanks for your help!
