No, actually I am just trying to keep all of the fine details of how Oracle works from being forgotten. Makes me a bit cross-eyed at times, but it is usually worth the effort. Sometimes I even manage to help the OP in my cross-eyed madness. Fine details running low, must read book... Actually, I am in the process of reading Jonathan's "Practical Oracle 8i" for the first time, and I am finding it a bit surprising the number of features discussed in the book which I thought were introduced in 10g, or possibly as early as Oracle 9i R2. There are also a number of details which I forgot over the years, so it is good as a refresher of what makes Oracle tick internally.
