Cognos Consultant Start Date: Immediate End Date: 1 Year Work Location: Detroit, Michigan Team Role: Works Under Limited Supervision Required Travel: No Travel Required Anticipated Schedule: Flexible Hours (40/Week) Requirement Notes: Contractor must be proficient with the following: Advanced Programming in ReportNet, Report Studio and Query Studio Cognos Release 8 Creating advanced complicated reports Creating and analyzing Oracle SQL Training or consulting with IT staff and customers in advanced ReportNet topics Create metadata models that can be used to drive queries in Framework Manager Create agents to monitor data to facilitate notification to decision makers Creating data access objects in Analysis Studio Create cubes utilizing transformer for Analysis Studio Experience with Sungard Banner and Operational Data Store is preferred but not mandatory. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills; hold a four- year degree in Computer Science, Business or MIS; and have a consulting background.
