When you visit a usenet group the first thing you do is read what others have posted. If you see technical questions then it is safe to assume that technical questions are acceptable. If, on the other hand you wanted to post something about bunny rabbits you might consider verifying whether it is acceptable. That is done by reading the charter or inquiring as to acceptability by posting a question. 99% of those who come here follow those rules and no issues exist. The problem is when people come here, so no posts that are intended only as promotional, and then expend no effort in determining whether what they are about to do is acceptable. They deserve the abuse of those of us who want the forum to serve its intended purpose. One of which is not to be a free forum for them to sell their product/service and yet contribute nothing to the community. -- Daniel A.
