I have been contributing since about 1997, and never read the charter. Heck, should I? How would I know? It's not like I agreed to the charter before installing the software. Charter or no charter, there has always been quite a clear distinction between serious and/or technical groups on one side, and commercial, or not serious groups on the other. I find it quite annoying to find commercially flavored stuff here - and no, it's not about a sig. Looks like Hyderabad and thereabouts are abusing the more technical Oracle fora for their marketing fluff. Cost and otherwise, this and other announcements could just as well be in cdo.marketplace - and you do not need a charter (a what? - what has cheap airliners to do with computers?!?) to know marketplace is commercial, whereas tools is not. Just don't start off with "read the charter before..."
