I would agree except for two factors that will make such a dream impossible.

  1. Technology is still advancing at too fast a rate and no one wants their competitor to have something they don't have.
  2. For every CEO like Larry Ellison there is a Board of Directors that can fire them and a huge number of stock holders to whom they owe a fiduciary duty to keep the stock price as high as possible. High stock prices are not result from selling something once in a decade.
