Oracle values in ref cursor being truncated after database upgrade

We recently did a database upgrade from 9.2.0.2 to 9.2.0.7 on windows.

Our Labview connects to this database using ODBC (version 9.2.0.6) Labview retrieves a ref cursor from a function in an oracle package.

The ref cursor points to a dataset containing a number field ( with floating point numbers)

Before the upgrade everything worked fine, but after the database upgrade
the numbers seem to be truncated in Labview.

Any ideas ? or similar experiences ?
