dbms_system string issue

db ver 9.2.0.5



I would like to set a string parameter in another session. An example would 
be TRACEFILE_IDENTIFIER.



I know I can set integers and booleans with dbms_system but did not see a 
way to set a string. Can it be done, if so how?
