Toad doesn't start

Hi,
I installed Toad some time ago and haven't used it since then, now I tried to execute it but it doesn't start. When I double click on the Toad icon a windows appears for a very short time (just a flash on the screen) and then nothing happens. I noticed that the file TOAD_GUI.INI is modified every time I lauch Toad, but it is empty. Even if I delete it, it is recreated empty.

No errors are displayed and no windows events recorded.

Did anyone else experiece the same problem? I'm running Windows XP pro on a Toshiba portable with 1GB ram and many applications installed (Oracle, SQL Server, Norton Antivirus, ...)
