Lets explore what you have NOT provided.

  1. Oracle edition and version
  2. Hardware platform, operating system, and patch level
  3. The actual error message
  4. The actual SELECT statement
  5. Any trace files

Lets explore what we can NOT help you with.

  1. Anything and everything. ;-)

Seriously ... you need to provide some information from which a response can be formulated. But in general ... SELECT statements don't write blocks to files.
