3DES in Oracle 8i

Oracle database version - 8.1.7.3.0

The dbms_obfuscation_toolkit package has the procedure and function for using 3DESC encryption/decryption. But only the DESEncrypt/Decrypt procedure and function is documented -

Does this mean that the DES3DECRYPT and DES3ENCRYPT procedures are not supported in 8.1.7 (And for that matter other procedures like MD5 etc)
