Thanks, for the tip, but still not working The entry in tnsnames.ora (on linux) for host name matches the host name in the listener file, and also matches the machines host name (ic matches the output of uname -a), also the portnumber are always 1521! (btw the names in tnsnames on windows also matche!).
Another thing that puzzles me, if I do lsnrctl status i get:
(DESCRIPTION = ...(HOST = 127.0.0.1)(PORT=1521) (DESCRIPTION = ...(HOST = 127.0.0.1)(PORT=8080)(presentattion = ... (DESCRIPTION = ...(HOST = 127.0.0.1)(PORT=2100)(presentattion = ...and a little bit down :
When asking for status immediately after strating the listener I get service SQLExtProc, and only after a while does the service vino appear!
I tried replacing the hostname with the IP adress (on linux box), but then i got another message: ora-12505 listener does not known of sid. (on windows). In this case the lsnrctl status gave: HOST=pomerol !!! But no lines referring to my sid!
Finally I tried replacing sidname = PLSExtProc for sidname = vino in the listener.ora, but this resukted in another error message ... admin net8 error. SO changed it back.
Any advice ?
What's wrong?
