Thanx for everyone who took the time to test the validity of my answer
to the OP. I looked on tahiti.oracle.net for a definite confirmation of
my answer, but couldn't find much in the Net manual (version 9.2). I
have only Windows to test on now, but is there anyone out there who
sees a different behavior on another OS? I'd be interested to know.
