Hi all,

I just set up and configure a primary (SID=prod) and a standby (SID=stdby) db on 2 separate machines. The archived logs from the primary db can be shipped to the standby db correctly.

However, when i query the v$archived_log from the standby db, the APPLIED? column is always NO for ALL the logs. It seems that the shipped logs cannot be applied to the standby db.

Is it a problem with the Managed Recovery Process? Since i can't grep any "mrp" process in the OS by using ps -ef.

By the way, do i need to update the following parameters for the standby db since the original standby init file is copied from the primary db

dispatchers = (PROTOCOL=TCP) (SERVICE=prodXDB) mts_dispatcheds = (PROTOCOL=TCP) (SERVICE=prodXDB) mts_service = prod

I'm using Red Hat AS 2.1 U3 and Oracle EE 9.2.0.4.0

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
