Same here.  I only made changes to the stats level after having
problems.  And as Fabrizio pointed out,  stats_level=ALL is a valid
parameter.  I have a TAR open on this, and apparently bug # 3559340 is
the issue.  Oracle support claims they will have a patch "Backup
ported".  That was June 3rd, 2005.  Today is the 27th.  Somehow, I
doubt this will get back ported.  I think I'm out of luck.
