As you said that:

So I think doing ocp is nothing but a total waste of money for you. Even if you do manage to pass ocp, pl. know that real life challenges of database work are far harder then the multiple choice questions of ocp exam(my opinion- and i am ocp oracle 9i developer track and oca oracle 9i dba track).

Also without any prior experience in database, chances of getting a job on basis of ocp are less.

So better stay with your strength. If it is asp programming and then go for mcsd ,learn .net and try get job in that line.

I can say this based on my 4 yrs. of working with oracle -but this is just my opinion.
