The reason I am asking this question is, I want to install Oracle 9iR2 and play around with the DB Administration part of it first before getting into 10g. But with 9iR2, I want to get into 10g Developer Suite, 10g JDeveloper, HTML DB 1.6 etc at the same time and wanted to know if there is a document on Metalink or OTN or Tahiti where these compatibilities are listed.

The chart I wrote down was sort of something i hoped to find where it stated if a certain version of the DB was compatible with a certain version of other Oracle Software which was not at the same level. I know that 9i DB is compatible with all 9i application software. and 10g DB with all 10g software What i wanted to know is if all 10g software is compatible with the 9i DB and if all 9i software apps are compatible with the 10 DB.
