Our Symmetrix has already been configured and I believe all meta-devices are RAID-1. No RAC, only stand-alone. I'm not sure if we're going to use a flashback area since it eats a lot of diskspace and fast recovery is not really an issue (backups are stored on tape with cross-backups to a library in another building). We do want to use flashback table, and I guess this alone will require a decent amount of extra undo diskspace. But I believe this will eliminate the need to do extra exports (data pump ?) for the restore of individual tables ?
