   Sorry i missed something in previous post. If BACKGROUND_DUMP_DEST
is not specified, the trace file will be stored in
$ORACLE_HOME/admin/db_name/bdump (if Unix)
%ORACLE_HOME%\admin\db_name\bdump (if windows)



Correct me if i am wrong.
