There are primarily 2 types of application connecting to the box. One
is an accountancy package where each user has their own Oracle account
(but only connecting via the client). The second is Weglogic, which
uses java connection pooling via a single user and all security is
contained in tables.



We have a small IT team and professional users so user 'tinkering' has
never been a problem.
