Hi we had a similar problem, I am interested to hear that 10g does support HS on linux, we may upgrade.
We have kept a gateway database running on Solaris solely for this purpose and are using openrda odbc gateway to connect to an SQL server. It works very well - thought calling stored procedures doesn't work.
