Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> creating a clustered database using dbca
Hi,
im trying to create a clustered databse using rac on 10g and asm.
everything runs ok until the asm instance is being created. I've already created the asm volume on one node and ran scandisk on the other and everything seems to be ok.
how ever after selecting to use the ifile option and seting up the SYS password for ASM. The system seems to stall. The machine on which the dbca is running becomes unstable and just hangs i can still ssh into the other node, and although the interfaces are up on the dbca node i can no longer ssh as this also hangs.
Im using dell 2850s using an emc AX100 as shared storage. I'm running the latest redhat es3 kernel and have the corresponding ASM and ocfs rpms installed. I have assigned a 500GB slice to the ASM volume.
Any one any ideas as this is quite urgent ?
Regards,
Carlos Correia
