Didn't even obey my own .sig!

Error is ORA-12560 TNS: protocol adapter error

(When I try to log in as SYSTEM, SYS, or SCOTT!

I think that I buggered something when I tried to create an Oracle Server Manager???

When asking database related questions, please give other posters 
some clues, like operating system, version of db being used and DDL.
The exact text and/or number of error messages is useful (!= "it didn't work!").
